MoU signed by ITA and ITACET Foundation
On 17th February and during the ITACET Foundation’s council meeting, HE Eng. Abdullah Al-Mogbel, the President of the ITACET Foundation, signed an MoU with the ITA President and Vice-President, Jenny Yan and Lars Babendererde respectively.
This MoU has been developed together with the ITA President and other officials in ITA in order to strengthen the relationship between the two organizations in the field of tunnelling and underground space.
The MoU, which signals a closening of relations between ITA and ITACET Foundation, lays out the way in which the organisations interact and how training sessions are proposed to Member Nations and other interested organisations. It will necessitate ITA, ITA-CET Committee and ITACET Foundation working closely together to canvas member nations about their training needs, propose a selection of high quality training sessions to member nations, and make available a certain number of ‘slots’ for training sessions each year – these slots will be announced during the WTCs. There will also be a number of ‘free’ training sessions offered primarily to developing countries who wish to apply.
The Foundation welcomes the changes that this MoU will bring and looks forward to working closely alongside the ITA to bring high quality training to the tunnelling and underground space community.
