Dean has 30 years of experience in the design and construction of over 1100 km of major tunneling and underground infrastructure projects for civil, hydropower, mining, and oil and gas projects. He has worked on major underground infrastructure projects in Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Greece, Greenland, Hong Kong, India, Lesotho, Malaysia, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Scotland, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and the USA.
Dean’s specialist experience for underground infrastructure projects includes risk and contract management, claims/disputes evaluation and resolution, constructability assessments with the evaluation of schedule and cost overruns, the use of tunnel boring machines for deep and long tunnels, and forensic investigations of tunnel accidents and collapses.
